Urgent care provides evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of most mild to moderately severe problems. Such problems would generally include sudden illnesses or injuries such as sprains, ear aches, respiratory infections, urinary tract infections and minor lacerations requiring stitches. After any pertinent testing is completed, an assesment and a treatment plan will be formulated and discussed with you. You should always follow-up with your regular physician. Our urgent care centers are not equipped like an emergency room to handle truly life-threatening situations. If you even wonder whether your problem might be an emergency, you should never go to an urgent care. Instead, call 911 or go to your nearest hospital emergency department. Urgent care should not be viewed as an alternative to establishing care with a regular physician. Urgent care should always be used to supplement - not replace - your regular physician. |
