Doctors Express was formed in late 2005 by Dr. Scott Burger, Chief Medical Officer, in response to the growing need for high quality and convenient medical care in a warm, friendly environment. We aim to serve the community by providing high quality medical care in a quick and convenient manner. Doctors Express specializes in treating illness or injury on an episodic basis. The illness or injury is usually an acute, non-emergency condition. Services are provided during extended hours and an appointment is not required. The community uses this convenient access when they can't get in to see their primary care physician and don't want to go to the emergency room. When the medical encounter and examination indicates the need for a more extensive evaluation and possible long term management plan, the patient is referred to the appropriate specialist or primary care physician. The plan of care is then supervised in the traditional multi-specialty community where appointments can be made and a continuity of care and medical record can be maintained. |
