| Who We Are | |
|
The HOPE Project is a safety-net provider of primary medical and dental care for the low-income and uninsured individuals living in the Piney Woods of East Texas. It is a non-profit, faith-based initiative that was established in 2003 by St. John’s Episcopal Church (Center), St. John’s Episcopal Church (Carthage), and Christ Episcopal Church (San Augustine) to serve the community of Deep East Texas. Since inception, the HOPE Project has provided cost-effective primary health care services to over 2,500 people. The Tenaha Clinic is a multi-practitioner based facility with a mission to provide high quality, compassionate health care regardless of ability to pay, race, color, religion, or socio-economic status. We operate on a sliding scale patient fee schedule. We are privately supported and do not rely on government funds. It is only through generous gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations that we are able to provide this high quality health care. |
